Merit & CVA Announce Customised Tournament With Prize Terminal
The
UK's biggest pub company Enterprise Inns has announced an agreement
with Merit Industries and CVA to develop and maintain an exclusive
online tournament terminal and network.
The network is to be offered and installed into pubs in the
Enterprise estate.
The new customised terminal, branded Megatouch Premiere Tournament
Terminal will be included in the 'Tournament with Prize' game
category.
Testing
of the system will commence soon, which follows a survey of
licensees within the Enterprise estate earlier this year.
Russell
Wood, Head of Leisure Machines at Enterprise Inns, said: “The
Premiere Tournament Terminal will offer participating pubs a
distinct advantage in the marketplace, in the form of customer
loyalty created by theexclusive 'Premiere' hardware and software.

“The
game will feature customised online tournaments, supported by
CVA, which will offer unique branding, advertising and sponsorship
opportunities for our licensees and our suppliers.”
The
decision to choose Merit was also based on Enterprise Inns'
relationship with Cosmic Video Amusements, Merit's exclusive
distributor in the UK, and the promoter of Merit's TournaChamp
online tournament system in the UK.
“CVA
are second to none regarding the administration, marketing,
creativity and commitment to online tournaments, and have a
long standing record of innovation and excellent customer relationships
in this field,” added Russell.
To
support the customised Premiere terminal, Merit has formed a
UK subsidiary, Premiere Tournament Operations Group, which will
operate and support the terminals in Enterprise locations as
a nominated operator of machines, in addition to existing machine
operators within the estate, who will also have the opportunity
to participate.
Terry
Farr, of Cosmic Video Amusements, said: “We are extremely
pleased to support Enterprise and Merit in this new venture,
which will result in further growth in the TournaChamp online
community and offer enhanced tournament with prize activity
to Enterprise Licensees.”
David
Logan, CEO of Merit Industries, added: “We are very excited
about the Agreement - it's a new and creative way to create
customised entertainment, sponsorship and networked tournament
opportunities for Enterprise licensees. It clearly establishes
Enterprise as the leading Company in the UK regarding entertainment
systems.” David added: “Our subsidiary, Premiere
Tournament Operations Group, will have Frank Ballouz, our Vice
President, International, as its Managing Director.
It
will work closely with Enterprise Inns, Enterprise Licensees,
U.K. operators CVA and our own technical, software, and networking
professionals during the rollout, and will pay careful attention
to making sure everyone's needs are met. After the test is completed,
existing Megatouch operators in Enterprise locations will be
invited to join in the scheme.”
Frank
Ballouz, PTOG's Managing Director, said: “I am very excited
to be associated with such an opportunity. It's a win-win for
everyone!” For further information, please email Frank
