The huge attendance at this year's EuroTechno, a conference organised by Euromat, confirmed that many people have concerns about the future of coin-op as it struggles to keep abreast of technology during this information age.

The impressive list of speakers included Fredrik Carlsson from Ericsson Mobile Communications, Jean-Michel Dinand from the Central European Bank and Gianluigi Campogrande from the European Commission.

Although the majority of the presentations were made in English, the superb conference facilities at the Paris Sofitel Hotel included wireless multi-lingual translations and a huge projection system to ensure everyone could see and hear everything no matter where they were sittting.
