Las
Vegas, NV - Merit Industries, Inc. once again earned the Manufacturer
of the Year award at the annual 2002 ASI tradeshow in Las Vegas,
for a fourth time in five years. The prestigious award, voted
on by operators, was accompanied by honors for Outstanding Achievement
in Booth Design at the ASI show.
In addition, for
the second time in a row, Merit Industries took home 2001 `Play
Meter Magazine`'s Operator's Choice Award for Best Countertop
Game of the Year for the highly popular Megatouch MAXX Diamond
Edition. These latest awards illustrate the dedication Merit
Industries, with its long history of success in the coin-op
industry, has to the profitability of the street operator.
"We had a fantastic response at this year's show to our
latest innovations: Force Point Five, Emerald II and Titanium
II," said Dave Myers, Merit's Vice President of Marketing
& Business Development. "Operators were eager to learn
more about how to maximize their earnings with Merit's superior
technology, content and service. Our MegaNet downloadable content
delivery network also grabbed a lot of interest."
Operators and related
tradespeople at the annual show crowded around 50 Merit machines,
connected TouchTunes jukeboxes and other value-added upgrades
that were on hand at the Merit booth. Matching its first-place
Booth Award, this time Merit enjoyed a front-row position at
the tradeshow.
"Our displays,
including our growing licensed content line, starting with Indy
Motor Sports, gave operators a great understanding of how Merit
products ensure the long-term financial success of our operators,"
Myers said. "We also drew a lot of interest in the new,
unique cabinet designs and color schemes that already are making
Megatouch games a favored addition at locations that previously
never considered coin-op countertops before."
Merit's Distributor
Breakfast brought 160 guests up to date on the newest game,
service and connectivity advances that support its tradition
of earnings excellence.
"Operators were
enthusiastic about how our newest offerings as well as time-tested
favorites will make their coming year an equally profitable
one," Myers concluded.
