Cosmic
Video Amusements has announced this week that its proposed distribution
deal with Baby Vegas, the supplier of server-based gaming products
and solutions, will no longer come into effect. The two firms
first got together in April 2007 on a conceptual basis with
a longer term view that CVA would distribute the Baby Vegas
range of digital AWP products.
A statement this week from Cosmic’s Terry Farr said: “The
distribution deal has not come to fruition. I received a communication
from Baby Vegas instructing me that the company had plans to
take all of its sales in-house. As a result of that decision,
Cosmic and Baby Vegas will not be working together for the foreseeable
future. Any business that the firm undertakes will be independent
of CVA.”
Meanwhile, ahead of this year’s ATEI, Farr was clearly
keen to move on to more positive talk about products and prospects
for trading at Earls Court. “We’ve taken a major
presence at the show this year – bigger than ever. We’ve
got some exciting new kit and we’re really going for it!”
